Man running with dog

In recent years, Boise has taken top spots on every list imaginable - including ones for our treasured fur babies. WalletHub listed us on their list of Most Pet-Friendly Cities, and we made American Veterinary Medical Association’s top 10 list of pet-owning states, with 62 percent of our households having at least one four-pawed friend. While Boise doesn’t have the most dog parks in the nation, it does lead the pack with the highest number of dog parks per capita: 6.7 dog parks per 100,000 residents, edging out the second-place cities of Portland, Oregon and Henderson, Nevada.

Boise City Council President Lauren McLean states, “Boise is awash in parks and trails for people, and I think dogs have it pretty good here in our fair city, too. As the

From pocket boutique retail stores to tantalizing restaurants to parks built just for our pups, we have it all. Recently, over 95,000 locals participated in The Idaho Statesman's annual Best of Treasure Valley 2019 survey, with the primary objective to identify the best of the best in our area.

You probably aren’t surprised that the Boise River and greenbelt ranked #1 for the best place to impress out-of-towners, (with downtown Boise and attending a BSU football game as runners-up). You might already have guessed Chandlers Steakhouse won the best steakhouse in town (winning year after year), with Ruth’s

Let's get cozy

Summer is on its sun-soaked path into autumn, and it’s time to start thinking about all of the things that the new season brings; back to school for the kids, Labor Day cookouts, enjoying coffee on your porch swing in the crisp morning air, watching the leaves turn an array of vibrant colors, and changing your summer décor to something cozier. There's nothing more inviting than a sofa or a bed layered with textured accents, like soft pillows and big, chunky blankets. Whether or not you’re on team pumpkin spice, it is said that the crisp air of Autumn both soothes and warms the soul. Implementing this year’s trend of wood mixed with your favorite warm or cool colors can be the perfect recipe for your home this fall.
